We want to work in partnership with all parents and carers of students at the academy. This means you can expect regular communication in the form of newsletters and correspondence, as well as meetings at the academy to discuss your child when appropriate. Every year we hold Parents’ Evenings for each year-group where you will speak to your child’s teacher face to face. We also have a thriving MPVA Parents’ Friends Group, who raise thousands of pounds to support the school, through Beat the Teachers Quiz Nights, Festivals and Food Nights. There is also a Drop-In Surgery for all parents and carers at the academy with members of the senior team (n.b. does not run on the last Friday of each half-term).
We believe that being confident and articulate in both private and public speaking is an essential life skill. To encourage students to acquire and grow their speaking abilities, the Academy has developed a specialism in Oratory.
