GCSE Results 2023

Huge congratulations to the Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy class of 2023 for achieving exceptional GCSE results.

These results are particularly impressive as this is the first year that grading has returned to pre-pandemic standards.

To ensure that students were fully supported, Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy maintained its high expectations of students and ensured teaching was of the highest quality. Students were further supported by intervention, targeted prep, study club and comprehensive wellbeing support.

 

Across the board, Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy’s Year 11 class of 2023 achieved:

  • 22% of all grades awarded were grade 9
  • 53% of all grades awarded were at grade 7 or higher
  • 80% of all grades awarded were at grade 5 or higher
  • 61% of students achieved grade 5 or higher in all 5 of their Ebacc subjects
  • 47% of students got at least one grade 9
  • The average GCSE grade was 6.48 (in 2019 the national average GCSE grade was 4.3)
